About VoltaGrid

What is VoltaGrid?
VoltaGrid is a free web-based tool that helps you set up and manage crypto grid bots without guesswork. It connects live to Binance via WebSocket, analyzes 30 days of historical price data, and tells you where to place your grid range, how wide to space your grids, and — critically — whether the current market conditions are even suitable for a grid bot right now.
Is it free? Do I need to create an account?
Completely free. No account, no sign-up, no credit card, no API keys. VoltaGrid runs entirely in your browser and reads only public market data from Binance. Your grid settings are stored locally on your device — nothing is sent to any server.
Does it connect to my exchange account?
No. VoltaGrid only reads public price data from Binance via WebSocket. It does not access your account, funds, balances, or API keys in any way. You use the analysis to configure your bot on your exchange of choice.
Which exchanges are supported?
Price data comes from Binance (500+ pairs). The analysis and recommendations can be applied on any exchange that supports grid bots: Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, Pionex, OKX, and others.

Analysis & New Features

What is ATR and why is it better than 24h volatility?
ATR (Average True Range) measures the average price movement per day over a chosen period. Most tools show you the last 24h high/low — but a single day can be unusually calm or unusually wild and will mislead you about where your grid range should sit.

VoltaGrid uses 30-day ATR, which averages out 30 daily candles. This gives you the market's "normal" breathing room — how far price typically moves in a day under ordinary conditions. Your grid range is then sized as a multiple of that ATR, so it's grounded in real historical behavior rather than one snapshot.

  • 24h volatility: tells you about today
  • 30-day ATR: tells you about the market's typical behavior
For grid settings that last days or weeks, 30-day ATR is far more reliable.
What does the Ranging Score mean?
The Ranging Score (0–100) measures how "sideways" the market is moving right now. Grid bots make money when price oscillates inside a range — they lose money when price trends strongly in one direction.

  • 80–100: Market is ranging — ideal conditions for a grid bot
  • 50–79: Mixed — proceed with caution, use tighter range
  • Below 50: Trending market — grid bots are risky here

The score is calculated from trend strength indicators applied over the 30-day window. Even if the ATR suggests a good range width, a low Ranging Score is a warning to wait.
How does My Grid Tracker work?
My Grid Tracker lets you add the grid bots you already have running on your exchange. You enter the pair, your lower bound, and your upper bound. VoltaGrid then:
  • Shows the live price position within your range in real time
  • Warns you when price is approaching the boundary (within 5% of limit)
  • Alerts you when price has exited your range — meaning your bot has stopped cycling
All data is stored locally in your browser. No exchange connection needed — just enter your grid settings manually.
What are Rebalance Alerts?
Rebalance Alerts are visual warnings shown in My Grid Tracker when the live price gets close to the upper or lower limit of your active grid. This is your cue to log into your exchange and decide: widen the range, close the bot, or let it ride. Getting this warning early prevents your bot from running out of range and sitting idle without you noticing.

Pricing & Privacy

How does the free tier work?
The web dashboard and all analysis tools are fully free — ATR analysis, Ranging Score, Profit Calculator, and My Grid Tracker are available to everyone at no cost.
Is there a backend or cloud storage?
No. VoltaGrid stores all data — your tracked grids, preferences — locally on your device using browser localStorage. No data is ever sent to any server. This makes it GDPR-compliant and 100% private.
Is my data safe if I clear my browser?
If you clear your browser's localStorage, your saved grids and preferences will be erased — just like clearing any website's saved data. There is no cloud backup because no data leaves your device. We recommend noting down your grid settings in a spreadsheet if you want a permanent record.
